Awareness
There are many and varied ways that we promote awareness to
the social issue of domestic violence.
All of the events we
have are geared toward generating awareness of domestic violence, what it is, warning signs and where to turn for help.
Our Public Service Announcements have shown to be a very positive way to raise awareness.
We are fortunate to have been able to provide these through a grant in 2007 and throught the genorosity of Dr. Edwin Williams
and the William Center for Facial Surgery in 2008. They could not have been made without the help of our friends at
FOX 23 News- thank you!
Through these PSAs we have recieved many calls and e-mails from survivors
who want to volunteer and also from women who we have been able to help by referring them to the right agencies. We
are proud and feel fortunate to be able to do this!
